We, the undersigned, believe that it would be a mistake for your company to decide not to renew the agreement you currently hold with Fremantle Media to show the Australian television show, Neighbours.
Neighbours is an important part of the lives of millions of people around the UK. We are TV license holders and believe that with the large quantities of money currently poured into making reality TV shows which give Graham Norton a job, it is not a reasonable argument that Fremantle are demanding too much money for the TV show.
This show is a crucial part of your afternoon schedule. Without Neighbours we believe that you will find the viewings for other shows, such as Doctors and Diagnosis Murder, would drop considerably. These are quality shows in their own right but without Neighbours to follow, the audience for these shows would suffer.
Please rethink your current position on Neighbours and ensure that Neighbours, and Harold Bishop, remain on our TV's for years to come.
