This petition is to save Notre Dame High School, in Harper Woods, MI. This school is rich with over 50 years of Marist tradtion, along with it's sister school, Regina High School. Both schools are single-sex (Notre Dame being all male, Regina being all female), and were built within a two year period of each other. The schools were a dream of Cardinal Mooney, and were meant to coexist with each other through bad times and good. Notre Dame is an excellent school with over 450 students, who will not be able to call Notre Dame their Alma Mater. There are also many teachers and staff who will be out a job, and whom will also have no income or benefits.
This petition will eventually make its way to the Archdiocese of Detroit. There is no reason that such a high quality school with so much history should have to close!
