What Free Beaches mean To Me
The beach is THE most important part of my nudist/naturist lifestyle. Its where it began for me, and also the place I can go to get away from the everyday hassles of modern life. I go there to recharge the batteries, to get some much-needed sun and to have a refreshing dip in the ocean. I can meet and chat to friends or I can bask in the sun to have some ME time. No other place does it like the beach.
Cyclists have endless miles of roads, paths and cycleways they can travel, caravaners have many parks to visit. And surfers only need a wave to enjoy their lifestyle. I want to be able to travel Australia and experience the joy of nudism/naturism in as many places as possible.
I, as a nudist/naturist enjoy the freedom of not having to wear clothes, and to be able to do this outside my home is important. We have clubs we can visit from time to time but the beach is sacred to my lifestyle.
The situation is Australia is that currently we are finding that our Free beaches that we cherish are under fire from people who do not and will not understand our way of life and who have a misconception of what our lifestyle represents.
Nudist/naturists come from all walks of life and we, like many other groups within the community should be allowed some small part of out vast coastline, to enjoy our lifestyle. We dont seek to be able to use ALL beaches and impose our lifestyle on others. Beaches have been set aside for dogs and even horses. We only want a fair share of these wonderful beaches.
I call on everyone who uses Free beaches, like I do, to come forward and sign this petition so we can all unite to save the precious Free beaches we have and to also fight for a fair deal on future beaches.
Free beaches are also a tourist attraction both national and international.
Campbells Cove in Melbourne is about to be stripped of its clothing optional status and Point Impossible and Southside are coming under scrutiny as well.
All nudists/naturists unite now and make a stance to save our Free Beaches.
