To: The Home Office, British Immigration

We, the undersigned plea for the release of Pa Modou Bojang, who is currently detained by British Immigration pending deportation back to The Gambia.
Pa Modou Bojang is a journalist seeking asylum in the UK, his claim has been refused and the British Government are planning to send him back to The Gambia where he faces imprisonment, persecution and death. The political regime of The Gambia has a history of persecuting journalists for speaking out against the government with many cases of disappearance, torture and even death.
We believe that if Pa Modou Bojang is sent back to his home country, he will, most certainly be in danger. Let him have the freedom to practice his profession without the fear of death and torture, let him have his human right to free speech and save him from deportation.
