To Kirklees Metropolitan Council Culture and Leisure Services We, the undersigned, want our library in Slaithwaite to remain open and to continue to be staffed by professional customer service officials. We strongly believe that the library provides an essential and flexible service that caters for the individual needs of all members of the community. We do not believe that its cultural and educational role can be fulfilled by being staffed with volunteers. We hope that if insufficient numbers of volunteers come forward that any decision to close the library could be averted.
