Save the National Theater

The National theater in Westwood is being closed in six months to make room for a Banana Republic. This is a very famous theater that has been the host to many major movie premieres since it opened in the early 1970s. It has played many popular films. It is also one of the last standing single screen movie palaces in Los Angeles. This theater is an important of Hollywood history and is a living landmark. Sign this petition to stop the destruction of this landmark theater. I say that we boycott buying anything from Banana Republic unless they decide not to bulldoze the property and leave the National theater alone.

26. Alan S | Westwood and Los Angeles need the National Theater FAR more than we need another Banana Republic. There are numerous locations in the Westwood area to put another retail store but there is no replacing The National, one of our local treasures.
