After reading reports in the media regarding local administrations intention to uproot the age old peepal tree at clock tower, we all at the facebook dehra dun community strongly feel that this will result in further uglification of the region. The peepal tree at clock tower poses no threat to the structure and neither is a hindrance to the traffic. We understand that development is an ongoing process but it should not be done at the cost of environment and natural beauty. We condemn this intention and request you to save the peepal tree for the betterment of citizens of Dehra Dun.
