The Stourbridge Town Rail Service is one of the things that makes the Town of Stourbridge unique. Six Days a week the train runs every 15 Minutes between Stourbridge Town centre and the Main Line at Stourbridge Junction, and is popular with local people.
However, there are plans to remove the service and replace it with a light rail tram service which is not capable of carrying the same amount of passengers and costs more.
Not only this, but 16 Guards and 3 Booking Clerks look likely to lose their jobs if the Line is closed, and also a piece of Stourbridge History will go too.
