Petition against the closure of the Napier Student Union bar facilities.
As you will now be aware that on the 26th of April the elected students governing body the Senate voted to close both the student union bars (Bar Twelve at Merchiston and BaseRate at Craiglockhart) and also the two NSA shops at both of these campuses.
The decision taken to cease all trading operations has been shown to be un-constitutional on many counts and therefore must be immediately overturned. We have read the paper produced on the 5th of May 2005 entitled 'The truth to the closure of the union bars' written by Paul Mc Caffrey. We agree that the content of this document represents our views of shock and disgust at the imminent closure and support the proposals mentioned in it.
