You may or may not be aware of the common blue arctic fox, or yeus vulpes, A.K.A Yee.
The plight of these animals is a rarely reported or documented one.
They manly reside in Greenland and in some parts of northern Canada, but hunting of these rare and beautiful animals is not only going virtually unopposed, it is driving them to extinction.
The animals are subjected to a horrific series of loud noises and flashing lights to scare them from their underground dens, and then are pursued for hours until, exhausted, they can run no further.
This barbaric practice is made all the more insufferable when, much like ivory from Rhinos, much of the fox goes unused and is simply dumped or burnt.
STY has been in operation for 2 years and has helped raise awareness and money.
We are still to receive backing from the RSPCA but, as you know, a good petition can help a good cause.
So please, take a minute from your day to sign the petition.
Remember, every little helps!
