Saving Boomer

Statement from Malibu (aka boomer):

I am writing to you (KRU) today to ask for forgiveness and a second chance on my account. I spent many years developing my hero, and though other equally strong heroes have been offered to me by friends, I wish to continue playing only on the name and reputation I've worked so long to build, or not at all. I am well aware of how blunt and harsh my personality may come across at times, and not everyone is thick-skinned enough to shrug it off. KRU was deeply offended by my "dishonesty" or rather "lack of the whole truth," but there was a reason for it. I felt that KRU's actions were rash and uninformed, and that made me feel that if I admitted to certain actions, that KRU would jump on that excuse to put the nail in the coffin for me, without hearing any further reason or explanation. Evidently, KRU chose to do this anyway, and so I might as well come out with the truth and explain myself, since I have nothing more to lose now.

It is true that I used a game feature that damages allies (self-destruct). Sometimes I used it to kill enemies or retreat quickly and nearby allies were misshapenly hit by the splash. Sometimes I used it intentionally to harm allies. When I used it this way, there were two types of players that I targeted: those who were afk and hogging PR slots (and sometimes BC) that other active players wanted, or players who had previously provoked me, usually allies who had blocked, TKed, or just plain annoyed to me enough to get me mad. I admit, in my anger I have overreacted and did not handle problems with other players as well as I could have. I should have just shrugged it off, but in the heat of the moment I was angry and sought to TK them back, undoubtedly accompanied by many angry words which I'm sure they showed you in screen shots.

Everyone has bad days, and I have had my share of good days as well. Anyone can tell you that I am a long-standing player and customer. I have never traded my account, I know how to play well, and through my regiment I make an effort to help new players have enough fun and interest to stay and pay for the game. I've never been the type of person to cheat, hack, scam, xp trade, abuse bugs, or deliberately do things to cause a loss in battle. I was not aware that my hot tempered response to troublesome players would be taken this seriously and lead to my account ban. The things that I did are things that still happen every day, and I only did them in retaliation when someone did them to me. Now that I do know, I can exercise a means of restraint to avoid this situation in the future. All I ask is that you allow me to have a future. I apologize for my dishonesty, but I only did it because KRU gave me the impression that I would not get a chance to fully explain myself, and so I left out the darker side of the truth. All I want now is just to go back to playing in peace with my friends and my regiment. As shown in this petition, the community has already accepted my apology. I hope you will too.
