We protest against the governments move to impose the quota system on jobs in the private sector. The objective of the private sector is to make profits and contribute to the economic development of the country, not to provide employment on any basis other than ability. The government is shirking its responsibility to provide the basic infrastructure, for its citizens that would enable everyone to compete on the basis of inherent ability. Instead, it is looking towards easy, divisive and vote-bank targeted policies that have not Indias future but the next elections in mind.
We refuse to allow the governments short sighted and short-term policies to destroy the tremendous wealth of opportunity, prosperity and global goodwill that Indias private sector has created through its meritocratic approach.
