To the dismay of most of the WISD students and teachers, it looks as if the school board has decided to change the schedule to seven period days for the 05-06 school year. Everyone I have talked to, mostly students... the ones that this will affect the most, have expressed their disappointment in this decision. Shouldn't the student body opinion count? Of course it should, but no one asked our opinion. We're going to give it to them anyway.
If you are a WISD student, member of the WISD administrative staff or anyone who has had a bad experience with seven period days as a student or a teacher please sign. There are many legitimate reasons why this is a bad idea, if you have some then please share them with us.
If enough people sign this petition I plan to send it to the WISD School Board so make sure your comments are appropriate and intelligent.
