Milford Primary School is located close to the A6 in Milford, Derbyshire. The speed and volume of traffic travelling along this road makes it extremely difficult for parents and children to cross the road safely. As a result many parents drive their cars to school and park along Chevin Rd. This road is not suitable for this amount of transport.
We need the section of the A6 at the bottom of Chevin Rd in Milford to be made into a School Safety Zone, in accordance with Milford Primary Schools School Travel Plan. In doing this we will decrease the risk of accidents to pedestrians and reduce the number of cars using Chevin Rd.
