Scrap the Hunting Act 2004

We the Undersigned, petition the current prime minister "Gordon Brown" of 10 Downing street,London to repeal the Hunting act 2004 which came into effect on the 18th February 2005 and continue to let England and Wales hunt Wild mammals such as FOX/HARE with Hound's/Dog's.

The Hunting act 2004 is totally unjustified and doesn't protect the wellbeing of wild mammals such as Fox/Hares as most Anti Hunting/sabotage groups actually think. It was recently brought to my attention of an article in a well known field sport's magazine about someone who had shot over 40 foxes in a night,(which is totally legal),a pack of fox hounds wouldn't take this number in year never mind a night.Now don't get me wrong I have nothing against shooting,as I believe it has a firm place in society but Hunting with hounds/Dog's also had a place until the Hunting act was passed.Resulting in people in the countryside been out of work and there social meeting/activities stamped up on.Hunting Foxes with hounds is not all about killing every fox that lives on the land that's been hunted,but a simple but effective method of wheedling out the old / Ill / Injured foxes from the rest thus giving the healthy population a chance to thrive in healthy numbers.Ive also read statements on various websites claiming that People who hunt hares with dogs(Hare coursers) are nothing more but thug's/criminals that use there dogs as a way of gambling to make money then just dispose of the hare in a hedge or a ditch once caught.I find this statement far from the truth,I would estimate more than 95\% of hare coursers to be completely the opposite as described.People in the Countryside are having there livelihood/Interests/Hobby's and Traditions destroyed by people who live in Cities,and don't really understand the ways of life in the countryside or the people who live in it.
