We the undersigned bring about this petition, signed by fans of the ABC daytime television drama GENERAL HOSPITAL, to sign actor Ryan Carnes to a contract.
Ryan Carnes has shown much talent and chemistry with Adrianne Leon in portraying their respective characters, Lucas Jones and Brook Lynn Ashton, who have just recently become a couple and have been aptly nicknamed BLu by their most loyal fans. Their romance has been adored even before it began. It has been acknowledged in the October 5, 2004, edition of Soap Opera Digest: "GENERAL HOSPITAL patients are loving Lucas and Brook Lynn. 'This show knows how to tell teen stories that are interesting for adults,' raved one." Their pairing has spurned fans to open message boards on the Internet displaying their admiration of the actors and the characters. We, the many fans of these two actors and characters, have been shocked and highly appalled of the possibility of their storyline suddenly being terminated to make Brook Lynn the love interest of newcomer Diego Sanchez.
Adrianne Leon has already been signed to a three-year contract. This petition, Mr. Frons, has been signed by all those who want Ryan Carnes signed to a contract, as well, and thus want the BLu romance continued. We ask you to consider this and we truly thank you for your time.

Lucas was a wonderful character with many ties to Port Charles. Ryan and Adrienne have a wonderful chemistry. And I think that they could make the next great teen story. Please don't give up on him now.
