Sign the Petition to Save Moore St, Save our Heritage!

As the centenary year of 1916 begins, our elected representatives in the dail have made yet another poor decision, a decision based on greed and shows how far removed from the ordinary citizen, and also reveals their lack of Pride in our Heritage. This government after purchasing part of our history on Moore St with the proposed intention to preserve and honor, has in fact made a shady deal with a certain developer allowing for the distuction of our heritage and the development of yet another shopping centre. The significance of these buildings on Moore St is not only of historical importance, but also of a social one. To allow this destruction and eradication of our history continue for the development of shopping centre will also be the end of our Moore St markets and all the colourful people who have and still do make a living along this historical area.
