The films are:
* ''Signals - A Space Adventure'' [Signale - Ein Weltraumabenteuer] (1970) directed by Gottfried Kolditz
* ''Eolomea'' (1972) directed by Herrmann Zschoche
First Run Features released ''Eolomea'' in 2005, both as a separate DVD and part of the DEFA Sci-Fi Collection. The major complaint with FRF's DVD of ''Eolomea'' was that a poor 35 mm print was used, instead of the original 70 mm print; in addition the first 15-30 seconds or so omitted the logo of the East German DEFA company, which produced the film. The earlier ''Signals'' was also shot in 70 mm, and in Germany the local TV station showed a remastered 35 mm print. For the DVD release of both films, they must be the original 70 mm prints, remastered and restored. Nowadays it is easy to put 70 mm prints to DVD, so I see no problem for you to release the two films in their original formats, if you are up for the task that is. The 70 mm negatives of ''Signals'' and ''Eolomea'' were believed to be lost, until they were shown at the 70 mm film seminar in Krnov, Czech Republic in early 2009.
Please consider releasing both films, and consider it carefully. It'd be worth releasing these cult titles for the first time in the UK. If you decide to release these films, and hopefully you will, it is either the original 70 mm prints or nothing.
