We the undersigned hereby petition Rogers Sportsnet to permanently forbid Gene Principe from uttering puns, or any and all attempts at humour on any and all future Rogers Sportsnet broadcasts.
Mr. Principe's puns are lacking both in cleverness and creativity as well as in delivery. Not only do his jokes detract heavily from the overall enjoyment of the hockey games he broadcasts, they also fuel the stigma that punsters everywhere suffer, regardless of their talent and subtlety.
By signing this petition, we the undersigned officially proclaim our disdain for Mr. Principe and his antics, and demand immediate action be taken by his superiors to prohibit all future on-air puns, and punish any transgressions harshly.
