Singapore Taxi Driver Petition

We, the taxi drivers in Singapore are always under the mercy of our Taxi companies, Goverment Bodies and Traffic Police. For many years, our earnings have dropped because of higher rental, oil price increase and higher maintenance cost. New technology is also being forcefully introduce to us and make us use them at a price. They change policies whenever they like without a proper survey with the general taxi community. The taxi union is useless in preventing such changes.





The recent taxi fare increase is another move by our company and Government; stating that by having these increase will help us to earn more but on the contrary we are losing more. Currently less customers, taxi waiting for passengers can be seen at almost every taxi stand. The confusing charges are driving potential passengers away.





I hereby calling all taxi drivers to unit together and remind our companies, Government and traffic police that we are not HAPPY! Please solve this unpleasant situation.
