Dear ladies and gentlemen of Corgi International Limited and Lucasfilm Ltd.:
In mid May 2007, both Corgi International Limited and Lucasfilm Ltd. announced their withdrawal from procedures to secure a licensing agreement for Star Wars products effective January 1, 2008.
We, the fans and customers of Master Replicas, are both shocked and disheartened by this news. Since 2002, Master Replicas has introduced the Star Wars fan community to a myriad of high end collectibles, ranging from authentically detailed movie prop replicas, to the highly popular Force FX lightsabers.
More importantly, Master Replicas introduced the collecting community to a new level of authenticity and quality that had been unmatched by any other Star Wars licensee. This attention to detail has forged a longstanding trust between collectors and Master Replicas.
Its because of this trust that we, the below signed, wish to sincerely request that both Corgi and Lucasfilm reconsider licensing negotiations in the hope of saving a very strong Star Wars product brand: Master Replicas. An extension of the Star Wars license would mean more new and exciting collectibles for the most loyal fans of Star Wars.
