STOP CALLING US MENTAL ILL is an organization with the mission of eliminating the word Mental Illness because of it is an archaic term, no longer accurate in describing brain illnesses which can be seen in brain scans and can be treated by a Neurologist, instead of a psychiatrist who is only guessing the diagnosis.

All people who do not want to be called mentally ill anymore, their friends and families, who have been abused by the name mental illness, because of the STIGMA, PREJUDICE AND LACK OF EDUCATION, PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION.
WE PLAN ON HAVING A ONE MILLION NAME PETITION, one that we can take to Congress, asking for money for education, starting in the grade school and up, to teach society that the myths about illnesses such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar disease, Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, ARE JUST THAT - MYTHS. Each illness should be called by it's respective name. Alzheimer's, Parkinson's Disorder, Epilepsy are not classified as mental illness.

Medication for Epilepsy are also treatments for Bipolar or Schizoeffective disorder. Why is that that these illnesses are called by their own respective name and other illnesses mentioned above are classified by the name Mental Illness.

Please sign your name and encourage as many people as you know, who do not want to deal with the abuse that comes from being called mentally ill which causes people shame, pain and isolation. Enough is Enough. No more cuts in budges by Congress who treat this group of about sixty-million, as if they are crumbs and are on the very end of funding list.
