STOP CHARGING MONEY to print obituaries!

Recently in some Indiana regions the Newspapers have stopped placing obituaries for free. There is now a costly fee to place an obituary and list the family members who remain and those who have passed on before. This is pure discrimination and yet one more way for the poor to be told they are less important. Anyone and everyone who has lived on this earth and dealt with its ways deserves an honorable farewell. Not just a DEATH NOTICE! A decent obituary is the least that can be done ( and has been done for year until now!). Please sign to help us stop newspapers charging $ to place obituaries!!!

287. Nicole Howard | I know that in newspapers, space is money, but there are a few sacred things in life, one of them being death, and not everything is subject to the laws of capitalism, so suck it up and sell your adds at higher prices if youre really hurting for the money

277. Joanne Johnson | Rather than charging for obits., why not charge for engagement, wedding and anniversary announcements instead. These usually take up more space than the old std. obituaries. People wouldn't mind paying for these near as much as for the obituaries. Please
