In 2000 about 1,200 children died because of child abuse. 84% of children are abused by parents, 62% were neglected, 19% were physically abused, 10% dealt with sexual abuse, and 8% suffered psychologically maltreated.

Child abuse is horrible...I suffered some emotional and mental abuse myself in the last 4 years of my life, and though I'm stronger for it, it wasn't necessary.
