Stop Illegal Street Racing on Okinawa

Let's face it, racing on public roads is a serious matter: street racing jeopardizes the lives and properties of other drivers and pedestrians, not to mention the racers themselves! The sad thing is, racers know this. So why risk it? The main reason why there is so much illegal street racing and drifting is there are no race tracks of mention on the island. Car enthusiasts are being forced to test their machines on open roads, having no other alternative.
What can you do about it?
Stop golfing! What? The Awase Meadows Golf Course area will be handed back over to the Japanese in a matter of years, so MCCS has plans of making a new golf course near Expressway Exit 5. The United States Military has two other golf courses already: Kadena Golf Course and the Par 3 Course in Chibana. Do we really need a replacement for Awase? This new golf course is still in the planning stages, so with enough signatures we may be able to convince them to build a multi-purpose, configurable race track for drag racing, drifting, circuit racing, motorcycle racing, et cetera. Our race track--your race track!--would be cheaper to build and pave than landscaping a new 18 hole golf course. It is doubtable there would be complaints about noise: the Kadena airstrip, in the near vicinity, is making hundreds of times more noise. Additionally, having our track open to both Americans and our Japanese neighbors alike would promote the international friendship between both countries!
