Magnolia Park Golf Club in Boarstall, Buckinghamshire are appealing against the refusal of Planning Permission to erect 7 metre high sound attenuation bunds,to be built of construction waste,along its M40 perimeter.
We oppose this appeal on the grounds that the sound reduction on the course will be minimal.
The Appeal application contravenes many of the policies in Buckinghamshire County Council's Waste Strategy.
The proposal will cause great harm to our small, historic village and present substantial danger to other road users. Up to 25,000 large, 8 wheel trucks will deliver the construction waste to site along the narrow roads which lack footpaths. These roads are designated Cycle Routes and are used by many cyclists. The roads also form an integral part of the much used Public Footpath system which includes the Bernwode Circular Walk.
The effects of the truck movements will be felt over a wide area as the vehicles will use many of our local roads to make their deliveries.
Lying in an area of Attractive Countryside this proposal will create a scar on the landscape for some while and will be visible from the vantage point of Brill Hill.

I live in Oakley Village and we have already suffered the problems of heavy vehicles delivering material to build bunds at Jericho Farm Gun Club. The noise, dirt, danger and damage to paths and roads are almost impossible to live with.
