This petition is being circulated in regards to the growing mandating of face masks in Canada, as we have already seen mandates passed in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and Alberta. There is zero scientific proof showing masks help reduce the transmission of any virus, let alone Coronavirus/Covid. There is, however, mounds of evidence showcasing the dangers of masking healthy individuals, especially children. Mandating citizens to breathe in their own Co2 while suppressing their functioning immune systems goes against the rights and freedoms of all humans and is wrong. If you're sick, you stay home. If you want and choose to wear a mask, you should. But to expect others to wear one, is wrong. Never in history, through any pandemic, have we mandated to mask the healthy. And well informed Canadians will not stand for it now! This is a human rights issue not a health issue. It's about Gov't control over the people not about the health of the population.
