Stop Persecution of Marine in Iraq

We the undersigned are outraged by the liberal media portrayal of the Marine who was videotaped shooting an allegedly unarmed alleged prisoner in a Mosque in Fallujah, Iraq. This brave American hero has already been tried and convicted by the media, who want us to believe that it was cold-blooded murder. These courageous soldiers are defending our freedom halfway around the world in very tough conditions and we are fed up with the media attempting to make it look like they are committing horrific crimes. Our soldiers are fighting against an enemy who does not believe in the rules of war and has no respect for life. These so-called insurgents (really terrorists) walk up to our military personnel, carrying white flags of surrender, then open fire and kill or injure the soldiers. They attach bombs on their person in order to kill soldiers and themselves. Any reasonable, intelligent person who watches the video will conclude that his actions were in accordance with the rules of war and were in defense of himself and his fellow soldiers.
ALL Americans need to take a stand against the major media. They are giving aid and comfort to the enemy and they are purposely undermining our efforts, our country and our military, in order to further their antiwar and anti-Bush agenda. We believe that if the media is going to report things like this, then they ought to also report on the new schools our soldiers are building, the new gas lines, electrical systems as well as the bringing of food and necessities to the people of Iraq, and the great job they are doing to support the Iraqi people as they work to build a stable democratic state.
The courageous men & women who are fighting in Iraq deserve and require our support. Please do not offer this Marine up as a sacrificial lamb to the hate-filled media. He did NOT commit a war crime; he is a HERO to the American people! This is a perfect example of why the United States cannot join the International Criminal Court (war crimes court), which would subject our soldiers to the arbitrary nature of this court. We appreciate the sacrifice that he and his fellow soldiers are making in our defense, and we stand behind him, and urge his superiors, President Bush, and Congress to do so as well!
