RE: SWAN LAKE NORTH PUMPED STORAGE HYDROELECTRIC PROJECT
FERC No. 13318
Many in the Bonanza community and surrounding areas are encouraging as many community members as possible to sign our Petition. This Petition is all part of our efforts to block Symbiotics from bringing into our County the following proposed project as described below:
The Swan Lake North Pumped Storage Hydroelectric Project (FERC No. 13318) is a 1,380-megawatt (MW) pumped storage hydroelectric facility located in Klamath County, Oregon on federal lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The Swan Lake Project is located roughly 11 miles northeast of Klamath Falls in Klamath County, Oregon. The area of the proposed project boundary stretches from the east side of Grizzly Butte to about 1 mile east of Swan Lake Rim.
Some properties in the area have been identified as being within, or in the vicinity of, one of the six proposed transmission lines.
