1. According to the vast majority of the fans, The BCS is not the best way to determine an NCAA National Championship. A recent survey, conducted for Atlanta-based television station WSB, showed that only 16\% of people favor the BCS system. There are countless polls on the issue and support for a playoff system among fans seems to be between 2/3rds to 90\% depending on the wording. There is no question in our minds; the fans want a playoff to determine the NCAA National Championship.
2. Despite overwhelming support for a playoff system, the University Presidents keep voting to perpetual the current BCS system. It is clear there is one reason they keep the current system in place: Money.
THEREFORE, we commit to making the benefits to the University Presidents and all sponsors of the BCS less than what they would be under a playoff system. We commit to Boycotting: Tostitos, FedEx, Citi, Allstate, Brut, AT & T, Konica Minolta, Capital One, AutoZone, Chick-fil-A, Outback Steakhouse, Pacific Life, Insight, Champs Sports, Pioneer, Valero, Ford, GM, Roadys Truck Stops, Gaylor Hotels, Bridgestone, GMAC, R + L Carriers, Emerald Nuts, Sheraton, Meineke, Bell Helicopter, San Diego County Credit Union, Papa Johns, New Mexico Department of Tourism, EagleBank, The University Presidents in the BCS conferences, and all of their subsidiaries as well as economic interests. These are the entities propping up the BCS system, so the only way we will possibly get change is to revolt against and do economic harm to the BCS perpetuators.
