STOP THE CITY OF MIAMI FROM BANNING THE FEEDING OF HOMELESS!

The City of Miami is proposing an ordinance that will make it illegal for anyone to feed the homeless unless you go through a city sanctioned training. After completing the training you'll receive a license that say's you can officially feed the homeless. But, according to the ordinance, you'll need a portable restroom, and sink on-site if you'd like to give away your lunch.

We are completely against this. We believe in spontaneous acts of love and compassion. This ordinance makes it illegal and subject to fines of up to $200 at 60 days in prison. Join us in our fight to keep love, kindness, and sharing legal.

This ordinance will be discussed at a meeting at the Miami City Hall-Commission Chambers; 3500 Pan American Drive, Thursday March 11th at 9AM. We will be there to state our case against the city, and unfortunately, many homeless shelters who support it.

If you are available to join us, please send an email to [email protected], or sign this petition if you are unable to make it!

Below is a draft of the ordinance as of March 3, 2010:
