Stop The Dolphin Slaughterings

Dolphins are very sensitive to sound. Sound is how they interpret all of their actions. When and where to get food, socializing, everything that humans do, just in the water. In the months from September to March hundreds of dolphins are herded into a cove. The way they are herded is boats with long metal tubes that extend into the water. Fishermen bang on the tubes and form a sound barrier. The amount of sound causes so much stress on the dolphins that they are just trying to get away from the sound. They end up getting herded into the cove and closed off by nets. Trainers then pick and choose the dolphins that they believe would be the best for show and the ones that dont get pick are taken into a branch of the cove and slaughtered. The IWC (International Whaling Commission) and Japanese Government state the reason for these slaughtering is pest control. They have come up with evidence that the dolphins, whales, and porpoises are eating too much of the fish. But Tokyo Japan is the largest fish market in the world. None of their evidence, findings, or information is adding up to what they are doing. More than 23,000 dolphins are slaughtered each 6 month period of herding.
Im not sure if and what this petition will do since all of this is taking place out of my state and out of the United States, but I would like to take this as far as I possibly can. Any and all signatures are appreciated. The dolphins say thank you too.
