STOP THE SCAMFUL SERVICE OR LACK OF FROM NEXTEL!
Dear all Nextel users or people that are looking into the service from Nextel. If you are thinking of purchasing a Nextel phone-STOP!STOP!STOP!
My wife and I recently purchased 2 Nextel 710's for our business. For the first week or two everything was great until we started receiving text messages. When I called, they said they did not know who was sending them to us, so we changed our number. Two days later, after changing our number, we started receiving more text messages (Daily Horoscope). We callad again...Come to find out it was Nextel that was sending the text messages and charging us for them-Pretty good way to scam people for some extra money. This was just the start of our nightmare. Shortly after this occurence we started seeing this message on our phone screen after trying to make calls-System busy try again later! Why should I have to try again later when I am paying to use my service now. This happened over and over again so my wife called Nextel to see why this was happening. The customer service person said that they don't guarentee service-You don't guarantee service? Please cancel our phone with no guaranteed service then. You may cancel she said, but after you pay the $400 + tax termination fee. This very rude lady never even tried to keep us as a customer, she just kept telling us that we needed to pay $400 + tax. Whatever happened to the customer being right and working out your differences so the customer will spread positive word of mouth advertising-Nextel absolutely does not understand this... I recently went to a cell phone company that sells service for many different service providers. The manager told us that they would never recommend Nextel to anyone even though they carried Nextel phones-Why is this? Because they scam you into signing their contract and stick you with terrible service. In conclusion, Do not buy a nextel product especially if you plan on using the phone for business-You will lose or miss 50\% of your calls especially if you live in Indiana.
