Stop The Recall

It has come to my attention that in our state the government has issued a recall for all cigarettes that have a common ingredient, which would be fiber glass. I am in fact a smoker, and of legal age to purchase cigarettes. Growing up, most teens look forward to learning to drive at 16 however, in my town most teens look forward to the day they turn 18. Not to vote (I promise you that) but to purchase their very own cigarettes. I am greatly angered by this decision from our state. As a smoker, I feel I have a right to select my own brand of cigarettes and by being a loyal customer to one brand (Newport) I feel that I understand all the risks and dangers of smoking. Not only are smokers informed by the SURGEONS GENERAL'S WARNING that is on every pack of cigarettes about the dangers, but we are also blasted by advertisements such as the
' TRUTH ' commercials. Everyday we are reminded of the dangers, so I believe as a smoker we fully understand what exactly we are putting into our bodies. Rumor has it that by April cigarettes like Newport and Marlboro will no longer be on shelves. In my opinion, smoking is not a privilege it is a CHOICE. A choice I have made, and now our state is denying me my choice. This is America, and we take pride in our economic system thriving on the competition of products. All of a sudden companies who manufacture cigarettes such as Lorillard are being denied their right to seek profit in the state of Pennsylvania. Please take this seriously and assist us in stopping the recall.
