Stop the spread of prejudice, religious intolerance and disinformation.

We the undersigned, do hereby record our profound disappointment with the wholly insensitive publication of " The Challenge to God" by Anne and Niall Boyle (Publishers: Gill & McMillan, Dublin, Ireland 2003.) that presents false and malicious information about our Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon, founder of a global movement for spiritual transformation and peace which is revered and presented by millions all over the world.

In presenting an extremely biased and unjust perspective, the authors did not bother to engage in even minimal research about Dr. Moon and the movement he established fifty years ago. The authors are only promoting ignorance and bigotry. Such unsubstantiated prejudice is thoroughly out of place in our schools, for it only promotes disharmony and discord. In our pluralistic society, we should promote understanding, dialogue and respect. This book serves as an obstacle to truth and to peaceful co-existence.

Therefore we categorically call for the immediate withdrawal of this prejudicial literature from all the schools in Ireland and also the cessation of any future publication of it.
