Eric Berger in covering the story for the Chronicle used biased
and ridiculing language to refer to animal rights activists, e.g.
that they 'lamented' and 'seized' upon the situation. He wrote
as if he were a paid proponent of UT research. UT
does heart research rather than telling people to avoid
cholesterol in meat. UT does cancer research rather than informing
us of the carcinogens in meat.
We have only the paid spokespersons of this huge industry as source
for whether or not UT dogs (whose lungs are removed) and pigs
were rescued.
We the undersigned demand an end to the use of animals in research
We want no replacement money to go to the Univ of Texas which
has a 13 billion dollar endowment.
