SUBWAY NZ - STOP CUTTING OUR CHOICES

When Parmesan Oregano bread vanished with no warning, followed closely by Marinara sauce, I embarked on an email discussion with one Nicole Sharp of Subway Systems Franchise Services ([email protected]) who had this to say ;
"We have recently standardized our menus across the country and as part of this initiative the decision was made to remove some items that were not requested frequently. Parmesan Oregano and Marinara were a very slow moving item in our restaurants and as such have been removed".
However this is simply not true, as not only do most of the people I know prefer Parmesan Oregano to any other bread, but my local Subway informs me that it is their second most popular bread. This is one of two Subways in the heart of our Capital City and it is exceptionally busy so I doubt it is an aberration. They also informed me that as their only tomato-based sauce, the sudden removal of Marinara has created major problems for them. And as this is the same sauce they use in their meatballs, they are still making and distributing it, but refusing to let their customers CHOOSE it on their sandwiches.
Today I saw that the nearest bread to Parmesan Oregano, Italian Herb, has a 'Limited Time Only' sign on it. When I mentioned it to a staff member (at a different branch to my usual) they were as perplexed as I am, because this is their best selling bread now that Parmesan Oregano has gone. They also advised that several other sauces have gone the way of the baby spinach and simply disappeared.
IF SUBWAY ARE SERIOUS ABOUT GIVING THEIR CUSTOMERS CHOICE THEY MUST GIVE US SOMETHING TO CHOOSE FROM. AT THE PRESENT RATE WE WILL HAVE NO CHOICES LEFT INSIDE OF A YEAR.
