Support Access, Fight the Bypass

We the undersigned are for an access road joining Wheel Road to 136, but are opposed to the current plans of Harford County moving forward with the conversion of Cedarday Drive into a Bypass for Cedar Lane. Furthermore we are opposed to the current plans of making Cedarday Drive a Minor Rural Collector road, a main exit for Cedar Lane Regional Park and a posted detour for the upcoming closure of Wheel Road. We believe that instead of using the residential Cedarday Drive as a bypass to Cedar Lane, the safety, property values and security of our community will be better protected by the county improving the much less populated and already existing Cedar Lane.
The undersigned further are concerned that proper protocol was not followed in terms of community input meetings, traffic studies, homeowner notifications and family safety concerns. We are requesting the redirection of the countys efforts to properly address our concerns, review our proposal, consider safety over cost and follow proper protocol in an expeditious manner.
