A Petition to the Premier of NSW, The Hon Barry O’Farrell to step in and approve the redevelopment of Gosford Waterfront
Following a campaign of misinformation on the redevelopment of Gosford Waterfront it now appears that The Landing at Gosford Project may not proceed and, if it does, it may take up to 2 years before the Government gives the necessary approvals. In other words, the redevelopment is unlikely to happen.
For the Gosford CBD, with its old, dilapidated and vacant offices and buildings to return to the prosperous town it once was, we accept that the first step in the revitalisation process has to start at the Waterfront which right now provides no public amenity at all for the people who live anywhere around Gosford.
We, the people, see Gosford as the Capital of the Central Coast with modern, state-of-the-art office buildings and residential living along with waterfront restaurants and entertainment, a new Performing Arts Centre and a 5-star Hotel that will bring visitors to Gosford and make it a prosperous and beautiful city for all to enjoy.
A City that we can be proud to call our home and bring our friends. A place that generates new age jobs for the people of the Central Coast. A place where our children and grandchildren will have a future.
We recognise that there are people who want to live in the past and want no change at all but these people are very much in a minority. We recognise that they have run a campaign of misinformation while we have stood back.
But now we, the people of the Central Coast, are standing up and demanding that you as Premier of this State step in and approve this project – NOW!!
