Support Janet Jackson on MTV

We the faithful viewers and loyal fans of Music Television, hereby present the following petition in regards to the lack of promotion and support of Janet Jackson:





It is understood that powers of high influence at MTV Networks USA have unfortunately decided to no longer support their Icon Janet Jackson. It saddens and disturbs a great number of your viewers who are unquestionably ardent Janet Jackson fans. We had hoped that time would have healed all wounds, however it is clear that a satisfactory and fair resolution has not been reached regarding Janet Jackson and her promotion on your network. Promotion in a variety of outlets is crucial to an artists success both in the marketplace and PR. It is without question that the incident which disrupted the healthy relationship Janet Jackson had grown with MTV, has produced an enduring effect on her image as well as that of MTV. We the viewers are not pleased at the continued persistent actions of ill will towards promoting Janet Jackson. We the fans and viewers submit our grievance with the hope that MTV Networks which has traditionally pushed the envelope, would accept that losses were incurred by all parties involved and that a continued state of hostility would be without merit. The intent of this petition is to seek a resolution that all parties involved could agree is fair and amicable. In these uncertain times we all understand that serenity and peace are difficult to attain because those involved in conflict are too distracted to set aside their differences and make peace happen. Henceforth we the viewers hope and expect that MTV will continue to lead by example and make peace with Janet Jackson and provide this artist with the support that her contribution to popular music has entitled her to.
