Support the Bangalore Metro Rail Project

With some politicians with vested interests trying to sabotage the Metro Rail Project in Banglore, the dream of Banglore infrastructure coming to world class standards seems far away. These politicians are trying to cause impediments in the project by citing extraneous and trivial reasons or suggesting other impractical or less efficient alternatives. Such opposition and unnecessary hurdles create the possibility of inordinate delays in the implementation of the project which cause huge cost overruns or even the possibility of cancellation of the project. We urge the Karnataka government to ignore such baseless opposition and continue working on the project with utmost urgency and breakneck speed.

We request the Bangalore citizen community to come forward and sign for the cause of setting up a Bangalore Metro rail. We plan to submit the signatures to politicians including Chief Minister and Opposition Leaders and press for our demands. We welcome all the citizens of India including those resident outside the country to take up the cause.

We can do a lot more to press the wily politicians to heed to our demands. As extreme steps - we can consider:
1) Economic boycott of political parties which oppose urban development projects such as the Metro rail. Political parties and institutions opposing development may be denied funds and donations from all locations including US and other countries and other locations in India.

2) Political boycott of parties opposed to urban development. If we can influence our relatives and friends, then we can create a significant chunk of vote bank that can vote against politicians opposed to urban mega projects. This is enough to cause a political turn around.

These steps may need to be taken up only to further the genuine developmental interests of the Bangalore community

We request all brethren to come up and vote for Metro rail and other urban developmental projects in Bangalore. Each vote is a blow on the face of anti-developmental lobby. Let us unite for development!
