The University of North Dakota "Fighting Sioux" nickname is in no way hostile or abusive, or in any way derogatory or disrespectful to American Indians. UND uses the nickname to carry on the "spirit of these great people the courage, loyalty to cause, honor, and giving the full measure of commitment."
The NCAA Executive Committee had no right to make this ruling, should admit to their faults, and apologize to the University of North Dakota and all of it's supporters, all after retracting their ruling on university nickname and logo use.
