Support the Return of the Pemberton Festival
a Petition to the Agricultural Land Commission to approve future events.
The Pemberton Festival took place on ALR land on July 24th 26th of 2008. The festival received tremendous support from the residents, businesses, and the agricultural community of the Pemberton Valley. The Pemberton Producers Market at the Festival was an overwhelming success to the local farm producers and the farming community, and as such we wholeheartedly support the return of the festival and the return of this agricultural opportunity for the community. The effects of compaction and contamination were mitigated through careful planning and cleanup, and the Environmental Consultant Firm Pottiger Gerhrity concluded that all issues of remediation are resolved and complete.
Therefore we, the people of Pemberton and other supporters, wish to express our support for the Pemberton Festival and request that the Agricultural Land Commission renew the non-farm use application for the foreseeable future. Please help us support our businesses, our farmers and our Valley.
