The Louisiana Clean Air Act (S.B. N.O 7420, While protecting the rights of non-smokers, fails to protect the rights of Hookah Lounges and Cigar Lounges as well as the patrons of such establishments. As loyal patrons and friends of Hookah Cafe, we now seek your continued support in protecting the rights of establishments that cater specifically to hookah smokers and cigar smokers.
We, the undersigned, support smoking-establishments like hookah and cigar lounges and the rights of people who chose to smoke indoors. People who come to the lounge either come to smoke and/or they are aware that smoking takes place in the establishment. We support an amendment to the Louisiana Clean Air Act that would allow smoking in any business which is established as a hookah lounge or cigar lounge and licensed as a restaurant.
