This petition is to determine if there is sufficient support among Corvette owners and enthusiasts in the Great State of Texas to ask the State Legislature for creation of a custom Corvette edition Texas state license plate.
Texas state law allows the legislature to provide for such a plate if it can be shown that there are 3500 citizens within the group willing to purchase the plates. The state also requires an initial deposit of $15,000 for the creation of the tags. If it appears that we can meet the goal of 3500 signatures, we will establish an account for donations towards that $15,000 mark. Periodic updates as to how we are doing will be posted in the Southwest regional section of corvetteforum.com
It would be great to get this done during the upcoming Legislative session in honor of the Vette's 50th birthday so please pass this petition info and address along to any and all Texas Corvette fans, clubs, groups or associations you may know of.
