At a time when most of our elected Democrats seem to have forgotten the wishes of the people they are supposed to represent, we are grateful, most sincerely grateful, to have Senator Robert Byrd standing up against what is wrong, facing the Bush Administration, and showing us all the kind of integrity we should be able to expect from all congressmen.
This coming slaughter of people in Iraq will have been not only for Iraq's oil but also to cover up the complete domestic mess this administration has made in less than two years. It is time someone stood on the senate floor and stated the purpose of this reprehensible invasion.
