The young people of Perth, Western Australia would like to ask of a simple request.
When we heard of The Black Crusade tour we could only think,
"Imagine if a tour like that came to Perth, it would be the best show ever."
Today, we discovered that imagination was to become a reality.
Trivium are the most popular and the most respected metal band of our generation, with Matt K. Heafy being born within 10 years of most of us. Trivium are our band, we are their fans. When Trivium played at the Big Day Out 2007, 9000 Trivium fans paid $115 and packed the Robinson Pavillion (the same venue that Slayer & Mastodon changed their Perth show to on April 12, that show sold out within weeks.) and I could only notice the small percentage of fans that were there who were older than the band.
Metro City simply is not a large enough venue to hold an event of this calibre. There is not enough area to hold the masses that will turn out for this show. Not to mention the licensing restrictions that prevent UNDER 18 YEAR OLD patrons from attending the event, the majority of Trivium, Shadows Fall and Arch Enemy's fan base.
Please, have this venue changed, or try and put an extra show on.
The young people of Perth need this show, we need this tour, to be denied access would be the cruelest of punishments.
We guarentee that if you put on an all ages show, we will sell it out and give you the best crowd that ANY of these 4 bands have ever seen.
