The Campaign for RI Priorities

Dear Members of the General Assembly:
We the undersigned are deeply concerned about the states budget deficit and believe we must do all we can to ensure adequate revenue for the services and programs that help every Rhode Islander work, learn and stay well. Please enact:
Bill H5809 to stop the elimination of the Capital Gains tax. Its only fair to tax all income just as we tax salaries and wages.
Bills 5618, 5619 and 5756 to close Corporate Tax Loopholes.
Bill 5931 to freeze the alternative flat tax, an entitlement for just a handful of Rhode Islanders that we can not afford.

We urge you to take action on these common sense measures so that everyone contributes fairly in the effort to build a quality of life we can all be proud of.
