New Line Cinema I came to find out after having seen the movie The Golden Compass that there was over 40 minutes of deleted scenes along with the original ending to the movie that was supossed to be added to the beginning of the second film The Subtle Knife. I am requesting on behalf of myself and other fans of this movie that you allow Chris Weitz to make an extended director's cut of this film with all the scenes restored along with the original ending as well. There were also a few scenes that were out of place. They need to put back in their original place in the film. Example: The scene where the Gyptains camp is being attacked and Lyra is kidnapped and taken to the ice bears when she is actually taken to the dome where the kids are being kept and the scene where she crosses the ice bridge is where she meets up with her father who has taken Roger. Another scene has her in the airship at the end of the film with Roger, Iorek, Lee and Sefarina floating off before the film ends. She gets tossed out of the airship when a storm comes and is found by the ice bears and then taken to theri leader. We the fans would love to see the film restored to the way it was meant to be. We hope that you will read this and release such a DVD with this extended director's cut. Maybe you will make more on the movie so that you can make the sequel The Subtle Knife.
