The Overpriced Guitar Hero Song Packs
Sign Now
We, The Undersigned, are perturbed. Our beloved console, The XBox 360, and the most excellent of games, Guitar Hero II, have taken us to new levels of gaming euphoria. And now, at the peak of our excitement, you bring us crashing down. First was the Oblivion Horse Armor (you know what I'm talking about), then there was Lumines. Various map packs and micro-transact-scams later we arrive here, at the "original Guitar Hero song pack debacle." You know, before today, many of us had discussed this day with glee. "I'm going to download _every_ one of those songs" was the general sentiment. Not now. Definitely not now. You offer us three song packs, each containing three songs each, for 500 Microsoft points. It doesn't take a mathematician to discover that should we choose to eventually purchase every original Guitar Hero song that we would spend nearly $100 for an electronic copy (no tangible posession) of the songs that are available on a Playstation 2 game which costs only $40. Do you take us for fools? We refuse to buy them until you lower the price to something reasonable. Why not divide the retail price of the game by the number of songs to determine price? Why not offer the songs individually? Why not accept a reasonable rate, say 100 points, for the songs? After all, you'd still be making more than iTunes for a non-burnable _cover_ of a classic song. Will you choose to make a change? We don't know. But we do know one thing. We will _not_ buy your song packs until you do.
